ATN Assessment Conference 2011:
Meeting the Challenges
Held at Curtin University, Perth, 20-21 October 2011.
This conference provided participants with opportunities to explore research and scholarly practice relating to the challenges of assessment in higher education. The overarching theme, 'Meeting the Challenges', aligned the conference with current higher education policy agendas under the following themes:

- Practical solutions to challenging problems
- Student engagement in assessment

The ATN Assessment Conference is an activity of the ATN Teaching and Learning Committee. It is hosted by one of the five ATN universities in Australia and open to participants from across the higher education sector. It is relevant to academics, researchers, teachers in higher education, curriculum developers, professional development staff and senior managers. It is also of relevance to education consultants, policy managers and representatives of professional bodies and associated industries.
