Festival of Learning

Save the date for Curtin’s annual Festival of Learning. This year the event will showcase teaching practices that set the scene for what Curtin hopes to achieve in 2019 in the learning and teaching space, as it strives to become a truly global university.

Keynote speakers have been invited to lead proceedings on the opening day (Monday 5 November), and will be followed by parallel conference-style sessions on related topics:

  • Monday 5 November 2018 Morning Plenary Session: Integrating Indigenous Knowledges into the Curriculum. Presented by Associate Professor Peter Anderson, Director, Indigenous Research and Engagement Unit, Queensland University of Technology
  • Monday 5 November 2018 Afternoon Plenary Session: Developing an industry supported micro-credentialing framework. Presented by Dr Darien Rossiter, Principal Advisor to the DVC Education, RMIT

Faculty-led, campus focused sessions will occur over the remainder of the week, as shown below.

  • Tues 6 November: 12-3pm | Faculty of Business and Law/Curtin Malaysia
  • Wed 7 November: 2-4pm | Faculty of Humanities/Curtin Mauritius
  • Thu 8 November: 2-4pm | Faculty of Science and Engineering/Curtin Dubai
  • Fri 9 November: 12-2pm | Faculty of Health/Curtin Singapore

Recipients of 2018 Curtin Excellence and Innovation in Teaching Awards, HEA Fellowships and new Curtin Academy Fellows will be recognised at a presentation ceremony on Wednesday 7 November 2018.
