About the Festival
The theme for the 2016 Festival of Learning is The Global Classroom: Innovation for the future. The aim of the Festival of Learning is to showcase innovative and progressive learning and teaching by acknowledging academic staff in their efforts and sharing innovative teaching activities with colleagues and students. The Festival is used as a means of engaging and educating students and staff in Learning for Tomorrow by:
- Showcasing examples of excellence already happening at Curtin
- Celebrating achievements in the learning, teaching and the student experience
- Demonstrating and sharing future technologies, teaching practices and the global classroom
Format and Timing
2016 Festival of Learning is to be held Wednesday 4 May to Friday 6 May 2016. The Festival will commence with an opening event on Wednesday 4 May, with sessions and activities to be held throughout the 3 days (no concurrent sessions), culminating in the Curtin Excellence in Innovation and Teaching award ceremony on Friday 6 May.
The official venue will be Building 105 and will provide the focal point for the Festival sessions.
