Blackboard Collaborate is a live web conferencing and virtual classroom platform that allows staff and students to communicate using a real-time online learning space. The main features include two-way audio, multipoint HD video, interactive whiteboard, application sharing, polling and session recording. Activities can include online lectures, tutorial classes, introductory exercises, brainstorming, problem sharing and solving, presentation of research and projects, role plays, debates, mentoring and support.

Thanks to robust collaboration and conference tools, everyone feels like they're in the same room together, regardless of their location or device.

Curtin staff can use Bb Collaborate for:

  • learning and teaching purposes from a Blackboard unit
  • meetings and collaborating with peers or research partners via a 'virtual office'.

Bb Collaborate has been integrated within Blackboard to facilitate easy scheduling and streamlined access to Collaborate sessions.
