Equity issues in higher education: The Curtin Initiative

Through its Higher Education Equity Program (HEEP), Curtin University of Technology has, over a number of years, supported a large and diverse number of projects aimed at addressing key equity issues in higher education. The program is administered by the Office of Ethics, Equity and Social Justice. In this paper we outline the general thrust of the program and describe some of the successful projects in the science and technology areas.
